1.  Bookings will only be accepted upon online booking form available from Odd Socks Enterprise

  2. An approximate total of 6 miles for the day should be taken into consideration when planning the route - distances more than this should be discussed before booking. We do not overwork our horses. 

  3. Customers must notify Odd Socks Enterprise of any outstanding features of the route at the point of booking. For example rough terrain, steep hills, cattle grids, busy main roads, railways, railway crossings, bridges etc. Customers must realise that horse drawn carriages have limitations and Odd Socks Enterprise must retain the right to alter the preferred route if deemed necessary.

  4. Please be aware that a horse and carriage will travel at approximately 1 mile per 10-15 minutes.

  5. Odd Socks Enterprise will provisionally book your day on receipt of your booking form. We will then conduct a review of the route 1-2 weeks after the booking has been made. If the route is not considered suitable Odd Socks Enterprise reserves the right to cancel the provisional booking. If the route is considered suitable then we will send you an invoice for the deposit to secure the day.

  6. A non returnable deposit of £100 is required for all bookings. Payment is accepted via bank transfer.

  7. The final balance must be paid in full 2 weeks before the event.

  8. Odd Socks Enterprise will make every effort to provide the turnout requested, but retain the right of substitution in case of illness to horses and / or damage to the carriage.

  9. In the event of a booking being cancelled, the customer must notify Odd Socks Enterprise immediately in writing (either letter or email). Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee at the discretion of Odd Socks Enterprise

  10. Odd Socks Enterprise reserves the right to cancel the booking if our horses become ill and no suitable replacement can be found,  if the carriage is damaged and cannot be repaired in time or due to adverse weather conditions e.g. snow, ice, high winds or thunder storms. This has never happened but should be brought to your attention. Any monies paid will be refunded including the £100 deposit.  We advise customers to have alternative transport arrangements planned just in case.

  11. Horses are and can be unpredictable animals. Odd Socks Enterprise makes all reasonable effort to ensure a safe experience is had by all. We are happy for our clients to meet and speak to our horses, please just ask. 

  12. Customers must bring to the attention of the coachman or a representative of Odd Socks Enterprise anything that is not to their satisfaction. We will endeavour to correct any problems that you may have with our service as swiftly and courteously as possible.

  13. We are more than happy to participate in your event/occasion at the reception / final drop off location for photos to be taken with the horses & carriage.

  14. Please forewarn us if any of the following may be used at your wedding or event: drones are in use for videoing. Fireworks, crackers, confetti cannons or similar. Any planned loud activities such as marching bands / horns / drums etc

  15. No objects are to be released and / or thrown under any circumstances around or near the horses and customers must make Odd Socks Enterprise aware before the event if there is to be any activity of this kind. 

  16. Passengers must remain seated at all times in the carriage. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
